More and more I hear the sad story's of clients who have booked wedding decorations, with what they thought was a reputable company, paid for them to find when it gets to closer to the time the company has disappeared.
Many people in the wedding decoration business work from home and that’s is fine, it’s a way of saving on overheads and I know a few myself and are really good.
I chose to get a workshop / showroom mainly because I wanted to be as professional as I possibly could, though it's not fancy it is functional and clients can check me out and come see my hire items.
What can you do to check out who you are giving money to?
1 Check out the web pages, can you find an valid address that you can find on google and if you do put it in google does it say the name of your company. Or if its close drive past.
2 Are there any testimonials on the pages check them out, they will give you an idea of the sort of people you are dealing with.
3 If you ask for a quote, does it look like a professional quote, is there an address , telephone number, company registration numbers.
4 Ask if you can visit and see the items you are wanting to hire.
5 Pay with pay pal or a credit card you can get your money back if they disappear.
6 Ask if they have liability insurance ask for prof
7 Read terms and conditions
